This is expected and likely will not be a priority fix. From the README:

Compatibility with taskbar mods outside of TranslucentTB version 2021.5 is not currently guaranteed.

You would be better off asking ExplorerPatcher to add an option to round the taskbar, but even then I don't know if that is something they would want to implement.
