Auto Hide Works!

Open duane2064 opened this issue 2 years ago • 11 comments

I was able to get autohide to work on my win11 edu. i did it by disabling either a task or a service, or multiple.

if you are already aware of this then i will NOT narrow this down for you since you allready know about this,

im gonna find out which, for my own benefit,

did you all, allready know about this?

I've always used auto-hide with RoundedTB, and it works pretty much flawlessly. I disabled the reveal animation to suit my taste.

Sometime it bugs out - the taskbar doesn't show even when I bring the mouse cursor to the bottom of the screen. This is more likely to be a Windows issue than an RTB issue.

I'm on Windows 11 dev channel build 25193.

Can u tell what excalty u did to make auto hide work. in previous wins 11 beta build, the taskbar was buggy. If u quickly press (Wins + 1(Suppose there are >=2 windows)). the Windows taskbar auto-hide used to break down(no longer goes down). So I deliberately use to do this and get a dock taskbar. But now windows fixed that. Althought auto-hide dock is great but still dock taskbar is also acceptable. is there any workaround to prevent windows taskbar from hiding (because once it hides it doesn't pop up on mouse hover).

Can you reply in detail how you made auto hide work? Thanks.

Just set the top margin to 1...

It actually does work! Just to clarify, set ONLY the top margin to 1 and then bottom/inner/outer margin to 3

@WolfyLuna0323 Thanks u so, it really works (but weather widget is also part of the tasbar, it should behave just like system tray. But that's another issue)

@Wakeelfahmed If you're wondering how to remove it, go to Windows Settings > Taskbar > Taskbar behavior, click on the drop down menu for the position and select Left, then Center again

It's stuck along the Windows icon and there's no fix to it yet, or a setting like one for the System Tray

for me its no appearing at all (widgets is turned on). Anyways I can live without the weather widget but not the auto-hide

You can reveal widgets with the WIN+W shortcut.
