Body text is too light or at least too small

I am using pdfsam 4.3.1, 'basic' version, on Windows 10 (and I note that there seems to be no way of displaying the version number from within the application).

Some text - indeed, the main text for content (i.e., for non-headings) - seems rather too light, at least given its size. For, that text is hard to read. Here is a screenshot.

Perhaps the screenshot makes the text easier to read than it is when I see that text within the application. If so, then I am unsure why that is. Perhaps there is some sort of rendering problem - cf. #189, #349 and note that I am using a scale value of, I think (Windows makes it hard to tell), 1.5. Cf. also #315.

My monitor: Dell U2722DE; 2560 x 1440.

Making the main text either a little darker and/or a little larger would suffice to increase readability to an adequate level, I think.
