Just a question from someone that did not use asdf, is .tool-versions something related to the project or it's more something for the developer's global gitignore? Just trying to understand 😄

.tool-versions is a config file to manage all your tools, runtimes and their versions in a single, sharable place.

But some devs like to have latest tools/runtimes (e.g. beta, rc's) or even different tools than others. In this case, the runtime/tool requirements would be enforced elsewhere like ci/cd, not by asdf.
