Clarification on repository archival and the future of gitignore.io
https://github.com/toptal/gitignore has seemingly been archived as of Jan 24, 2025 without further explanation from what I can tell.
Is gitignore.io still being actively maintained/developed? Will contributions be possible again in the future?
I'd be happy to take on maintenance/triage/PRs if necessary.

I also noticed that the toptal/gitignore repository is now Public Archive.

Hey @jwueller and folks. I created my own version of this API, and I am using the GitHub gitignore repository as a template source. But I am thinking of maintaining my own. Would you be interested to help?
