Instant reboot to fastboot mode after flashing Magisk-patched ramdisk images
Hey,
I'm currently trying to install Magisk on my Nothing Phone (3) - model number A024 - with the Nothing OS stock ROM and am facing some issues with the patching of its boot.img. I'd be really glad if you could help me figure this one out.
Device: Nothing Phone (3) Android version: 15 (Kernel: 6.6.57-android15-8-g8f666e70c848-ab13394517-4k@1 Tue Apr 22) Magisk version name: https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/commit/78f7fa348eec53bbe154afb3026e75595b6d662e Magisk version code: 30100
wasn't sure if main is stable enough
I've tried to root the device based on the instructions available in the wiki > patching image for a ramdisk-enabled device.
Here, I tried the method mentioned in the wiki (fastboot flash boot <magisk_patched.img>) - as well as the one recommended in various instructions for older Nothing devices (fastboot boot <magisk_patched.img>.
There doesn't seem to be a vbmeta.img partition - at least the previous Nothing phones didn't have one and the log following log point in a different direction.
There were no errors on boot, but the app doesn't detected Magisk.
