Peepopen crashes with invalid file/dir list

If you have an improper directory list, Peepopen crashes without any warning. Was kind of a pain in the ass to figure out but obviously my fault. Maybe some kind of check for the validity of the dir list (simple parentheses balance check would have saved me some time) would be in order.
