Bug: PeepOpen stopped opening files
About 2 days ago PeepOpen simply stopped working. I cant remember anything different that I've done quite frankly.
When I hit Apple+T in TextMate running Snow Leopard I get the following regardless of project:

Any thoughts? Ill gladly send a log or reinstall if needed. PeepOpen is key to me being able to work!
You could delete its preferences and try again: ~/Library/Preferences/com.topfunky.PeepOpen.plist
It looks like it's not using Core Animation, but that shouldn't stop it from working.
The next release will have a more informative loading message that will show the number of files being loaded.
Is this a big project, or one with just a few thousand files?
No joy. Deleted and reinstalled plug in. It happens in all projects regardless of core animation.
The only difference I can think of is that I recently installed Eclipse as well as Textmate and probably installed the PeepOpen plugin for Eclipse as well.
Could that do it?
Any new ideas on this? How can I completed remove and reinstall?
Ok - some new insight. I installed 0.2.4 and when I try to open PeepOpen in textmate it is stalled on "Reading Files." Is there a log somewhere I can send you?
More clues!!
While Im stalled on the "Reading Files" screen I can type in a file name. When I hit enter I get a popup that tells me that no text editor has been found!?
"Please choose a text editor in PeepOpen preferences."
Of course Textmate is selected so this is extremely odd.
Any thoughts?
Ran into this today, was able to work around it by disabling "Show metadata with files". Project is using Git for SCM, a git gc didn't help the lock-up any, but as long as the metadata isn't enabled, PeepOpen works.
Same problem here with "Show metadata with files" enabled. No more problem when that option is disabled.
I just upgraded to 0.3 from the in-app Sparkle process. Afterwards I was unable to open files either. As suggested turning off the "Show metadata with files" option brought PeepOpen back to life.
My project also uses Git as the SCM.
I'll try to reproduce this error. It seems that it's occasionally slowing things down or causing other problems.
