Modbar counter sync might not work properly, needs investigation

Just noticed it today while having multiple tabs open but I am also using Vivaldi so I can't rule out yet that it is just a weird thing there. But it might also just be some issue related to recent refactoring chances.

And of course after I made this issue it appears to work normally. Something of note, it appears to me that if I have two browser windows open (not tabs, seperate windows) that in some cases that breaks up the synchronization if in both of them a reddit tab is open, that is just a gut feeling though which I have not been able to confirm with any browser.
