Replacing the default JQGrid alert dialog with a custom/third party alert

is there a way to replace the default alert with a custom dialog alert? I all my search i see that you can replace the default message of the alert box but not the box itself. it would be a great improvement to allow third-party plugins (like pNotify, Bootbox and so on) to replace the alert message. That way it would provide much more functionality, customisation and localiZation of the message and the UI. below is an example alert from pNotify instead of the default alert box i get from windows.
