Samsung Air Conditioner

Open DeanPix opened this issue 4 years ago • 8 comments

Hi, is there a chance to support Samsung Air Conditioners? I know that the topic was raised at the end of last year, but nothing comes of it https://github.com/tonesto7/homebridge-smartthings-tonesto7/issues/37 When I add air conditioning to Homebridge, I can only control on / off. I can also see the temperature, but I can't change it. At the homebridge terminal, he is already showing me the message described earlier. This means that there is no support for air conditioners yet, or how did I do something wrong? I will be grateful for your help.

support for the Samsung wind free AC with all the options would be amazing.

Another vote for Samsung AC integration. I see the same Notice message. Is this misconfiguration on user end or something with plugin itself?

From what I read on the internet, this plugin does not support all air conditioner options. You can only turn it on and off, but you can't even change the temperature.

I have my integration working with hoobs, and as many say I have the same, ability to swuitch on and off, reports temp and humidity. Would be ace to add more options, with Hoobs seeing the other Unknown capabilities, Right now I will have stick with my smartthings app for control but Siri would be a brilliant and much sort after addition

Hey @tonesto7 is there any way we can help you with this? I am not really versed with the SmartThings API, but I can try to learn it.

FYI the issue is not present on the Home Assistant App. https://github.com/home-assistant/core/blob/dev/homeassistant/components/smartthings/climate.py maybe their code can be used or it can be allowed to be set as thermostats

Will there be any changes on this issue? Still can not fully manage the windfree AC
