Prepwidget() : could not be read

After I hit save of the setting preferences, i get told this error

Just FYI, I posted an “issue” on his ford power up app page just to see if he would respond and he closed the issue without even commenting. In my opinion this project is dead and he has no intention of fixing it or having the decency to at least respond to any of these issues listed saying that he gave up on it.
