windows build

I'm having a bit of issues building on windows - autoconf / autotools do not exist, is there a workaround or someone who has built and used it successfully on windows?

Hi @wuurrd, we at tonari don't really have a development Windows machine to test on, so we'll need to leave this for the community. Patches welcome if somebody manages to get it building.
