Proposal: Integrate AI-Powered Search Assistant (like Gurubase) into TON Docs
Problem
The TON ecosystem is growing rapidly, and so is the volume of documentation. New and existing developers often have specific questions that can be difficult to answer by manually searching through the docs. This can lead to repetitive questions in community channels (Discord, Telegram) and on GitHub issues.
Proposal
I propose integrating an AI-powered assistant, trained specifically on the ton-docs knowledge base, to provide instant, 24/7 support.
A great example of this technology is Gurubase.io. This type of service can:
- Index all documentation sources: Websites, GitHub repositories, PDFs, and potentially even community discussions.
- Provide a chat widget: An "Ask AI" button on the docs website for users to ask questions in natural language.
- Give cited answers: The AI provides a direct answer and links to the specific pages in the documentation where it found the information, building trust and encouraging users to read the source.
- Integrate with GitHub: An AI bot could automatically respond to new GitHub issues with relevant documentation, helping to resolve simple questions or provide context for new issues.
Benefits
- Reduces Support Load: Frees up core developers and community mods from answering common questions.
- Improves Developer Experience: Users get instant, accurate answers without having to wait.
- Finds Documentation Gaps: The assistant's analytics can show what questions users are asking that the current docs don't answer, providing a clear roadmap for documentation improvements.
This would make ton-docs significantly more accessible and user-friendly, especially for newcomers.
