I believe it should work on the C1+ as well. Jessie has issues, though, it doesn't currently boot for me due to the initramfs being too large.

You could try to install a newer version of sfdisk from the backports repository.

Mine works just fine, haven't really had any issues with it. I'm using it "headless" though, meaning no GUI really. I have not tried anything GPU related other than booting...

I believe hardkernel's official distros also have this limitation. I don't know of a way to enable it earlier in the boot process.

For stock images, yes that would be a nice option. However, I would like to retain the ability to compile the kernel/uboot for custom images as part of the process....
