Clarifying WooCommerce Integration: A Distinct Approach from GeneratePress

In the latest version of WordPress, a notable addition has been introduced under the banner of 'Add appearance tools to Classic themes.' This enhancement aims to empower designers and creators utilizing Classic themes with an enhanced design experience. By opting in, users gain access to refined options for spacing, borders, typography, and color schemes, even in the absence of theme.json. Additionally, as further tools become available, they will seamlessly integrate with this feature.

While it's true that GeneratePress alongside GenerateBlocks already offers these capabilities, there's a growing anticipation that such functionalities will extend to WooCommerce websites. During a recent admin bar live stream, Tom expressed a desire for GeneratePress to remain impartial. Thus, it's foreseeable that upcoming WooCommerce features, including cart and checkout blocks, will be exclusively managed by WooCommerce, distinct from other blocks like products.

Presently, many users of GeneratePress and GenerateBlocks find the current updates lacking, causing inconvenience and frustration. While we maintain patience and confidence in Tom's ongoing efforts, addressing this matter promptly is imperative. Waiting for months for a resolution is impractical, given the significance of this issue. Despite the considerable time dedicated to updates, the lack of progress regarding WooCommerce integration remains a concern.

We respectfully request transparency regarding the timeline for implementing WooCommerce templates in the next WordPress version. Clarity on this matter would greatly alleviate uncertainties and enable users to plan accordingly.
