Nannou Web App template
This repository is a template for building Nannou app both for native app and web browser.
Based on Rust-webpack-template repository. https://github.com/rustwasm/rust-webpack-template/tree/master/template
Also referred to Woyten's Microwave for integrating nannou for web. https://woyten.github.io/microwave/launcher.html . https://github.com/nannou-org/nannou/pull/811/files .

main.rs <- contains entrypoint for native app
sketch.rs <- actual nannou sketch
web_main.rs <- contains entrypoint for web app
Default sketch is derived from https://github.com/nannou-org/nannou/blob/master/nature_of_code/chp_08_fractals/8_3_recursion.rs .
Because the entrypoint for web app needs to be asynchronous, some functions in the sketch are also async function.
If you not familier with async and await in rust, see Async Book documentation, though it is not necessary to fully understand as long as you just make a sketch on nannou.

How to install
npm install
How to run in debug mode(for native app)

How to build in release mode(for browser)

How to run unit tests

What does each file do?

Cargo.tomlcontains the standard Rust metadata. You put your Rust dependencies in here. You must change this file with your details (name, description, version, authors, categories) -
package.jsoncontains the standard npm metadata. You put your JavaScript dependencies in here. You must change this file with your details (author, name, version) -
webpack.config.jscontains the Webpack configuration. You shouldn't need to change this, unless you have very special needs. -
The
jsfolder contains your JavaScript code (index.jsis used to hook everything into Webpack, you don't need to change it). -
The
srcfolder contains your Rust code. -
The
staticfolder contains any files that you want copied as-is into the final build. It contains anindex.htmlfile which loads theindex.jsfile. -
The
testsfolder contains your Rust unit tests.
