Have you installed CodeLLDB extension? `"type" : "cppdbg"` means that you are trying to use built-in debugger.

It looks that the program is not crushed but just paused. If you click the skip to next breakpoint(▶︎) button, it will continue to run. I have encounterd similar issue...
