Prevent using the internal temp sensor.

Prevent using the internal temp sensor and fead in an external one. Is it possible? Is there a property might be? Same as I feel over infra?

Hi @Gabeki17,

I'm not sure if it can be done through the WiFi module. However my units support the "iFeel" feature which is the same, but uses the temperature sensor in the remote controller which sends the value via IR. I can see a possibility to decode the IR protocol and simulate the remote with an arduino/raspberry pi/esp8266.

Does it actually mean that the remote control needs to be placed in a direct visibility with the internal unit, so the IR can work when 'iFeel' is used?

Hello! Any success with implementing iFeel?

Hello! Any success with implementing iFeel?

I did not have the time.

I think i will aply a workaround until.

Will read I feel IR code then using a esp8266 and a ir led will simply read the temp from my room thermostat and send it to the airconditioner as it was the remote.

Hi,

I went forward but wit wifi way. I will measure the temperature separately. Then i will chane the current setting by external logic. It will even switch of the airconditioner if there is no need to run it.

But for this i will have to remove the beeper, because it would beap a lot.

Will test it soon.

With regards, Gábor
