Click on the gauge to increment or reset it

Open ccidral opened this issue 14 years ago • 4 comments

The gauge automatically counts the amount of pomodoros as they get completed. That's cool, but what if I want to adjust manually the count or even reset it? Would be nice if I could click on it and turn a light on for each click. When all lights are on, the next click should reset the gauge (turn all lights off).

I'm thinking about adding menu item to reset pomodoro crate. I'd like to work on this feature. I really need it(in this particular form). What do you think?

I think it's great! Feel free to do it, I will be glad to merge your work into Tomighty's master branch. Just make a pull request when you are done.

Hey @VictorDenisov, I did something different from what you proposed (please don't be mad at me :-). Instead of using the popup menu to reset the gauge (pomodoro counter) you can click on the gauge itself to increment or reset it.

Please, pull my changes into your local repository and try it out. I would love to hear what you think about it.

It is really awesome. However I dreamed about one click to reset. If you made a longer break after the first pomodoro you should start a new pomodoro crate(accordingly to the technique), and in the current implementation you should click three times instead of one click. So I'm thinking about, maybe, right click on the gauge to reset it. Changing the number of passed pomodoros is rarer operation than reset(at least for me). What do you think?
