Vertical inventory connecting.

I've been using this mod for a short while. Currently working on a lighthouse build that is about 128 blocks tall with about nine or so floors. Trying to use this storage system while having a crafting interface on every floor... at least that was the plan. I see the config setting to by pass this, seemingly, and it still doesn't. Leading me to believed that that setting only counts horizontally, is there anyway to connect multiple smaller sotrage systems into a bigger central one?

Use the inventory cables, place an inventory proxy between the cable connector and the inventory connector.
