Container removal takes very long time.

Thanks a lot for building this Docker image first of all. 🙇

I use Docker compose to set up and tear down the container from this image. When I remove the container after it runs for many days, its removal takes very long time, showing that it's being removed:

# docker ps -a
CONTAINER ID   IMAGE                             COMMAND                  CREATED      STATUS                PORTS     NAMES

What could be causing this and how could we reduce the removal time of the container?
