`Super`+`.` does not open the panel immediately

I set the opening panel to the super+. combination to match Windows. For some reason, pressing this combination does not open the emotes panel. However, if you press the . dot again without releasing the super key, then the panel will open. I use Ubuntu 20.04

I see something similar on Linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon. Additionally I also struggle to get any keyboard shortcuts other than the default ctrl+alt+e and not using Super to work either.

Facing the same issue on Ubuntu 22.04.

In fact, alt + . works just fine. Seems like super key is causing some issues.
