I had the same idea of building a lightweight middleware that can capture API metrics natively in the service.

  1. What is your vision or goal with this project? Maybe, we can collaborate in building this project.
  2. Also, what is the license for this project?

That's great! The goal is a user-friendly analytics service that you can easily add on to your existing API to effectively gain insight into previous usage and monitor future usage. Plans are in progress for easy self-hosting of the backend using a docker compose file for fully private request logs storage. MIT license, do as you wish :)
