CE-123H os Sierra Help

Open ethercy opened this issue 8 years ago • 10 comments

Please forgive me, I am new to this and learning. I followed the guide as best as I could and was able to get BT to work but Wifi was no, I did have two new network devices however ("Bluetooth Pan" and Internal Serial Port (1) or something like that). Any advice on where I went wrong would be really appreciated!!!

My system: 15,1-os Sierra 10.12.1 / MSI z97i ac Mobo / Azurewave AW-CE123H (From ASUS Maximus VI Board)

This is what i did:

  1. Installed FakePCIID.kext+FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext / BrcmPatchRAM2.kext+BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext > Restart PC

  2. Edit IO80211Family.kext+IOBluetoothFamily.kext per guide adding 43b1 string > After restarting BT was now working and those two network devices were now visible

  3. Applied the 4 kext patches for 10.12.1 to clover.plist according to config-bcm94352-121.plist but this did not do anything it seemed

I read someone that DSDT edits were not necessary and honestly i found this part a little difficult to follow so i did not apply them

@toleda Thanks Toledo

I'm still having an issue, every time I install the kext I don't get the wifi option in System Preferences/Network as mentioned in the guide. I only see "Built-in Serial Port" as an option.

Hope that makes sense.

@toleda As per your request, here you are toleda sir. I did not understand how to get the file from console as stated in step 7... is this necessary? Apologize for my noobness

  1. Following instructions, no wifi option appears in network. Instead I get “Built-in Serial Port (1)”
  2. maxOS Sierra 10.12 / MSI Z97i - ac ITX Motherboard / E7851IMS V4.10 / Intel i7 - 4790k / Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming
  3. Copy made and attached using IORegistryExplorer v3.0.5
  4. File found and attached - EFI/Clover/config.plist
  5. No dsdt.aml file found in EFI/Clover/ACPI/Patched/
  6. No ssdt.aml file found in EFI/Clover/ACPI/Patched/
  7. I got here but did not know what to do after? Console/All Messages/
  8. Screenshot taken and attached (WiFi Screenshot)
  9. Screenshot taken and attached (Bluetooth Screenshot)

@toleda Okay Toleda, As per your recommendation, I placed the .aml file into EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched and new files have been attached after restarting. Hope to hear back from you soon.

Files (2).zip

Remove FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext. Include clover boot log and installed ssdt with new files.

toleda avatar Nov 03 '16 15:11 toleda

@toleda Alright, Deleted FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext from S/L/E Folder. The only ssdt file found with in EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched is ssdt_arpt-rp05-bcm4352.aml that you gave me. New files and clover boot log have been attached. Thanks for the quick responses toleda Attachments.zip
