Optical output SPDIF 5.1 not available in ALC898

I have a GA-Z87UD7-TH motherboard with ALC898 and i´m using clover. Once installed "audio_cloverALC-120_v1.0d 2.command" I have stereo sound, but I can not get 5.1 sound. The option i have chosen is "channel 2" I have activated dolby and DTS on the VLC, but when I play a DVD I only have stereo sound. Tested in El Capitan and Sierra. Any suggestion? Regards
