Sound volume too low

Open koolbrader opened this issue 9 years ago • 2 comments

Mobo : Gigabyte Z97M-D3H Processor : 4690K Audio Codec : ALC 892 OS : El Capitan

I used kextbeast to install native AppleHDA.kext so S/L/E and then used your command script to install the patched AppleHDA.kext. For both questions asked while the script was running, I answered yes.

With that, I managed to get the audio working but the sound is very low. The max volume is equivalent to about 40% of my actual Mac. Is there a fix coming or did I do something wrong?

Try orange or black ports. OS X does not support access to the amplifier. Unlike most Gigabyte Z97 motherboards, your motherboard does not have an external audio amplifier. No known solution.

On my motherboard (Asus Z97-AR with Realtek ALC 892), using black port fixed the problem.
