Browser extension log-in malfunction bug in Zen Browser 1.11.5b (Firefox 137.0.2) (64-bit)

  • OS version: Windows 11
  • Browser version: Zen Browser 1.11.5b (Firefox 137.0.2) (64-bit)
  • Extension version: 4.7.5

🐛 Describe the bug

Log in button in the extension window does not work. instead of logging in it redirects me to the web interface of toggl tracker. I tried logging out, re-installing extension and restarting browser. After logging out and trying again I do get redirected to the extension settings page which asks me to log in, but the process seems bugged. When navigating to the account/profile page on the extension settings page, the "you are logged in as" prompt returns empty.

Expected behaviour

  1. click add-on icon in toolbar
  2. add-on window opens
  3. Click log-in
  4. redirect to log-in page
  5. enter credentials (I use log-in with email)
  6. extension window proceeds to logged in home window.### Steps to reproduce

Other details or context

The extension did work when I installed it on google chrome.

I reinstalled Zen and is on 1.12.10b (Firefox 139.0.1) (aarch64) now, then the browser extension started working

Hey, this is probably related to https://github.com/toggl/track-extension/issues/1963. I had the same issue until I logged in via a space/workspace without container.

Logging in via a space without a container worked for me

I had the same problem, and was able to fix it by:

  1. Going to the toggl login screen by clicking the Log-In button in the pop-up window for the extension.
  2. Re-opening the login tab "without a container" (see image at the bottom)
  3. Logging in via that new tab.
