Create new project on-the-fly in the edit popup after starting an integration timer
Describe the new feature
I would like to be able to create a new project right from the edit popup that appears after starting an integration timer. At the moment, I can only search for and choose existing projects. I suggest that the edit popup is changed such that if one enters into the search field a project name that does not exist, one is offered that a project with this name is created on-the-fly and directly assigned to the started timer. This would be very similar to what the project selector in the Toggl Track web app already provides:
For comparison, this is the edit popup of the Toggl Track extension:
How does this help you?
At the moment, I have to define every project of my work twice, once in the web service that I use to manage my work, and once in Toggl Track. Instead of manually keeping the projects in sync in both services, it would be great if there was an easy way of creating a project that has not yet been defined in Toggl Track just when the first timer related to this project is started through the Toggl Track extension.
If we couldn't add this feature, is there a compromise you can think of?
Anything that would help avoiding to have first to go to Toggl Track to manually define a new project before it can be chosen when starting a timer would be great. But right now I can think of no alternative solution to what I suggested.
I would also really like to do this.
I use azure.com, and would like the Toggl Project to be the User story. This means I have to open the toggl web app or toggle desktop whenever I start a timer on a task on a given user story for the first time.
I've modified the integration for myself to at least put the story name on my clipboard, but ideally I could create it when starting the timer.
It's been some time since I posted this. Could someone please comment on whether this issue is even considered? Is there any chance that you will implement a way of creating a project on-the-fly from within the browser extension?
