Native M1 support
💻 Environment
Platform: macOS Big Sur on M1 Mac Apple Silicon
📒 Description
Are there any plans to add native support for Apple Silicon in the near future?
⭐️ Why do you want this?
Optimized for Apple hardware
hey @ryan-efendy 👋 We're currently reworking the internals of our native desktop apps and we're planning to release the refreshed apps later in 2021. They will definitely have native M1 support.
@AndrewVebster Any update on this? Native M1 support would be nice. 😎
@webserviceXXL we're working hard to release something by the end of 2021 🙌
i and my coworkers still waiting this feature :) after release of M1 Pro and M1 Max most part of mobile developers in our company moved to M1 and we need this feature

this is almost the end of 2021, any update on this @AndrewVebster ?
ping 👀
Ping +1 👀 New MBP M1 Pro/Max are coming to their owners and everyone is asking... so is there any progress?
Ping +69 👀 Will we ever get a M1 optimized version? I doubt it...
Pingggggg
Hey everyone 👋 Huge sorry for missing all those messages and keeping you waiting. As you may know, we're rewriting our app from scratch, and it will support M1 natively. We're almost ready to release it for Public Beta. Once we have a public announcement or a final date, I will make sure to notify you also here on GitHub.
@AndrewVebster Thanks for the update!
@AndrewVebster how can we participate in the public beta?
One more waiting this feature! o/
Please beta :)
Any updates on the public beta @AndrewVebster ?
Waiting for Andrews next "Huge sorry" and "almost ready" 👀 In the meantime there are the first rumors about the M2 chip and even Dropbox is M1 ready 😂
When will the beta be ready? Waiting for m1 native app for less battery draining :)
Does anyone know of an alternative that supports M1?
This is the last app on my mac that is NOT apple silicon native. It's been nearly 2 years since apple silicon developer platforms were made available...
Does anyone know of an alternative that supports M1?
If anybody has an alternative I'd like to know as well. I use the browser app of toggl for too long now and can't do this any longer. Looks like the app is rewritten from scratch, maybe for other reasons as well, so they might have bugs that will take a long time to fix. Meanwhile life goes on so we have to have a viable alternative for anybody that is M1 capable. Personally I simply don't install an app if its not M1.
I switched to https://clockify.me which is M1 compatible, and provides most of Toggl Tracker functionality, however I would love to see Toggl M1 compatible version soon.
Thanks @Omranic - switched to Clockify.
@Omranic Good advice! Switched as well, thank you!
@Omranic thank you, I will switch too. @AndrewVebster It's 2022 - you should really improve your communication skills. Toggl is not so good that we can't find an alternative ;-)
@Omranic thx for the tip, switched to Clockify too
There is finally a Testflight app available. The UI is nearly 100% the same as before, but running as a native app on M1 macs. I have no idea how the selection for the beta users is working. I was invited by mail.
That's nice to hear! I am wondering that it's coming from a user and not a Toggle internal.
But actually just a little bit late. At least for me... I switched to Clockify as well.
Not a toggle employee, I've got the m1 beta invite too.
I looked at clockify but a fundamental feature was behind a subscription which toggl provides for free.
Is there a way to apply for Testflight invite?
Is there a way to apply for Testflight invite?
Not that I know of, I just got an email randomly with a link for it from toggl
