Hashtags stripped from description when using autocomplete with a TE that has a tag attached

Open mari-glia opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

💻 Environment

Platform: macOS OS Version: macOS 11.2.3 Toggl Version: 7.5.441

🐞 Actual behavior

A user tries to continue a time entry that has a hashtag included in its description. For doing that, the user uses the autocomplete functionality. In case the TE that the user wants to continue also has a tag attached to them, the hashtag in description and everything that follows the hashtag in the earlier TE gets removed from the new TE description.

💯 Expected behavior

When a user continues a TE and uses the autocomplete function, TE description carries over from the earlier TE unchanged.

🔨 Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a time entry that has a tag attached and a description that includes a hashtag
  2. Start a new time entry and use the autocomplete function to copy TE details over from the earlier TE
  3. See how the description does not include the hashtag nor text that was after the hashtag in the new TE description

NB. It is important that the original time entry has a tag attached. Without the tag, the issue can't be reproduced.

I'm also having the same issues as I've gone back to multiple records to not find tags even though previous records all include some sort of tags.

Here's my current set-up: Platform: macOS OS Version: macOS 10.15.7 (Catalina) Toggl Version: 7.5.441 (same as above)

Follow-up. I found a work around. When this happens, I re-edit the description and select the entry again and it seems to then catch the tags.
