Shadows stick around when they shouldn't

When switching away from the text tool it leaves it's shadow behind. As you add more tools I think it would effect them as well so this is a general issue. Also when drawing lines, boxes, ext. if you run off the page it's shadow is permanent and you can't get rid of it without reloading the page.
