won't work with mail servers aside from Gmail
I couldn't find a support forum, so I'm creating an issue for my question. I just installed my blink1 and it works correctly with Gmail. But for other mail servers I'm trying, the first part of the server's web address or ip address gets cut off and then I get "wrong login or password." In other words, my email is "[email protected]" but this shows as "[email protected]" so if it's trying to login to a server at "server.org" then that's wrong. Likewise, if my server is on the LAN at 192.168.1.2, and I try the email "[email protected]" then it shows as "[email protected]" which is wrong and it's "wrong login or password" once again. What am I missing?
Despite how the information displays, I got it to work with POP3 no SSL. pop3 with ssl and imap with or without ssl give me the the login error.
Hi, I've been trying to replicate this issue. Can you post a screenshot of mail popup window with the problem showing?
Oh I think I see the problem. For the "username" field you are inputting just "me" not "[email protected]", correct?
A) this works, but "Mail Account" displays as "[email protected]": Account type: POP3 Mail server: MyDomainName.MyProvider.net Username: me Password: <> Port: 110

I believe I've made no tabulation errors in this message, but rest assured that I tested all the values in the indicated patterns. In any case, IMAP never works, and only using the username "me" in the "username" field ever works. That's my home server. No combination works with my employer's email, which is provided my Gmail, but uses my employer's full domain specification, "mail.x...".
