Preset Default Value

Is there a way to set a default value on the model and have it automatically chosen when the control is instantiated? I.e. Set the default value to United States, but also allow it to be updated and have the typeahead work normally

Not right now, but it is on my Todo list. I will add that feature ad soon I have a chance.
