Saves disappeared

Restarted the game today. Both of my previously saved maps are gone. I have to start over.

Playing through Steam. Version: 1.5.5

Please provide more information! If you don't have a concrete, consistent list of steps that results in this problem, it's probably best to ask in the Discord, not report an issue here.

But here's some advice:

  • Did your game crash, or did you force-close the game? This can corrupt the saves.
  • Open the saves folder (%APPDATA%/shapez.io/saves on Windows, I don't know what OS you're using) and look for .BACKUP files corresponding to each savegame-blahblah.bin files. Try importing those backup files through the ingame import interface and see if they're your missing saves.

I am having the same problem and I have checked the save folder and there is some stuff in there but it won't show that in game I am using one mod called Dark Theme and what it does is in the name.

Edit: I have tried disabling all my mods and that hasn't done anything.
