Packetloss while Belts and Sorters have different Speeds

I have the Belts unlocked to 16/s Speed and the Sorter (green things) at 32/s but this causing the issue that you have Packetloss (in this example 4 items/s) as you can see in the Screenshot. is this known/intended? .

The green-colored buildings are mergers. By "packetloss" do you mean shapes disappearing, or there being a bottleneck? I don't see 4 anywhere; the numbers seem correct (you split a belt at the end, so you get 16/2 = 8)
