Death Knight's pets do not get this effect for some reason. It only works 1 of the 10 times.

maybe related to non-stacking auras? for example if pet already has one (Strength of Earth Totem aura) - if yes, then there is no bug

no this is wrong way, if problem even exists then it should be somewhere in targeting
