Much of the information about AQEMU on the internet is outdated and about AQEMU <= 0.8.2.
This is a task a contributor without any coding knowledge could help with.
Examples:
-
Make a Youtube video showing AQEMU in action and explaining its different features.
-
Write reviews (hopefully positive ones) and send them to FOSS magazines and the like.
-
Update AQEMU information in Wiki pages from distributions like Archlinux/Gentoo/Ubuntu and so on.
-
Make screenshots for the project's sourceforge page and for its documentation.
-
Make an animated GIF showing the basic usage of AQEMU. (<1min)
All of these will get you credit in AQEMU's Thanks To section. But you have to tell me here about it to get the credit. I can't scan the whole internet for contributions, as I'm sure you will understand. :-)
very well, i have added aqemu to the top of the "Qemu GUI" section of my list of qt applications: https://wiki.manjaro.org/index.php?title=List_of_Qt_Applications https://forum.manjaro.org/t/list-of-qt-applications/3237
i have also voted for aqemu in the AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/aqemu/
if you want a screenshot of qemu with a dark theme, look here: http://postimg.org/image/aunl18s8h/
Nice, thanks!
That other bug report was right though, the blue labels look indeed ugly in a dark theme! https://github.com/tobimensch/aqemu/issues/16
Hopefully you'll make more screenshots once the issue is fixed.

sure, no problem.
It's a shame too see a very little interest, contribution from the community for something great as aqemu can be. If it's still required, I could write a detailed tutorials with screenshot on the options and use of aqemu with some extra things (change resolution screen, jailed aqemu...)
Soon as I get a "go ahead" from the lead project, soon I start to begin the written of it. I daily use aqemu for ~2 years so it should be enough to write something useful I think
I truly hope it will not finish as a dead project, I can't imagine to manage efficiently my multiples virtual system without it, keep it up !
@Anyon3
Go ahead with writing tutorials. I would like to include them in the official project.
I don't think the project will end up dead. I'll probably begin working on it again.
And it seems like there are some contributions coming in (albeit small ones).
Here a first shot of the basic settings to create a virtual system

I will need you to review it to tell me if the way of I made it is good, bad or need to be improved or if I need to remake it.... Once I got your review and suggestion, I will improve it until you get satisfaction so I can move on and start writing the next parts (How to set a bridge connection or use spice / vnc / change the screen resolution etc....)
Hop you gonna like it
whats up here? No reaction from @tobimensch ? I'm a little confused cause th thing @Anyon3 has done is exactly what he'd asked for.
