New User -- Maybe a stupid question. svchost.exe

One of the main reasons I got this and nuked Simplewall was for it's "Filter by SvcHost.exe service names"... but I don't quite understand. For example, when I attempted to make a group for the windows update services... it's not really clear on exactly the service names. So when I check for updates, I see the popup, but it's only for svchost.exe and nothing more...

I don't even know how to get this thing working with windows updates, I've said yes to everything that came up, yet nothing. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I have no idea what's really going on here. Also my Windows Firewall is disabled. Maybe someone can help point me in a direction?

Edit: I do know about the "Services" menu item from the gear icon, and even when I add Windows Update. It still fails to connect to windows update.

Edit #2: Well I'm a complete and total idiot. I had forgotten that I blocked the domain on the router. Newb move. Please delete this stupid post and save me from my own embarrassment. Thank you.
