Install plugin from subdirectory

Open timofurrer opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Is it possible to install a plugin from a subdirectory, for example the git repository timofurrer/edelweiss contains a directory tmux that contains the plugin files which is what I want my set -g @plugin command to point to, something like this:

set -g @plugin `timofurrer/edelweiss:tmux`

Is that somehow already possible? If not, would that be something you'd consider supporting?

There's no support for that at the moment (that I'm aware of). This may be overkill but you could create the tmux plugin as its own repo and include it as a submodule in your edelweiss repo. Your TPM config would point to the submodule repo directly rather than trying to traverse the edelweiss repo.
