File upload fails in demo.html

It looks like something is missing for the file upload feature of demo.html. At http://taxsim.nber.org/taxsim35/demo.html everything else works, but after choosing a file and selecting "save", nothing further happens. Looking at the html. there doesn't seem to be any code to execute taxsim.js. Any help much appreciated.
