XML Files won't export on final step creating the DCP

Open victor4393 opened this issue 6 years ago • 9 comments

Dear Terrance, I've been using your OpenDCP for about four years (No problems what-so-ever....until now) The very last step in making my files for the movie project involves Creating the DCP and it generates for XML files. Well, now it won't generate the XML Files at all. I've deleted the old version and re-uploaded a new version of OpenDCP....no luck. I made sure that I clicked on the box for "Add XML Digital Signatures" and nothing is working. This just started THIS week. I'm using OpenDCP Version 0.30.0 Please let me know what else I can do to get my XML files created again. Thank you! ~V~ Victor Spangler Day Dreamer Productions, LLC 1123 West Madison Street Starke, Florida 32091 904-434-6761 EIN# 81-1985943

What OS are you using?

I am using a iMac that’s running High Sierra 10.13.3 (which I just upgraded recently). Hmmm, this is the first batch of video files trying to convert since the upgrade too. Ugh! Victor

try unchecking "add digital signatures".

"add XML Digital Signatures" is unchecked when I select the DCP tab. I've tried creating DCP with it both checked and unchecked and I have the same issue. The .mxf files were created within OpenDCP.

It’s okay! I’ve moved on now to a much simpler way on doing my files directly in Premiere Pro. Added bonus, the files are about a third of the size too. Thanks for all of your help!

Are you using the Wraptor plugin within Premiere Pro? Be aware that DCPs made with that plugin will ingest and mount onto GDC servers but will immediately crash upon playback.

I've been using the Wraptor for our local movie theater ever since your DCP app crashed on me. There has been any problems at all for me. It may be that they are only :30 second to 1:00 minute long commercials instead of a full length Feature Film. So far, so good!

Thanks again!
