test-gpu.cc is missing & state of GPU support

  1. the test-gpu.cc refered in the SConstruct file is missing from the repository
  2. is it enough to set gpu=1to scons to enable GPU support ?
  3. what is the current state of GPU support ?

(1) I'll add the test. (2) I think it is.

(3) It passes the tests, but it hasn't been tested much beyond that. I don't know what performance is going to be like; it may help some for larger batch sizes as is.
