Vertical tab is a newline

The KDL 2.0.0 spec was changed last minute (after the release of ckdl-1.0) to define U+000B (vertical tab/line tabulation) as a newline character rather than a whitespace character.

ckdl treats vertical tab as whitespaced; it should be treated as newline.
