Homebridge plugin

First off, fantastic product. I saw it on hackaday and bought it once it came back in stock. I have an uplift paddle controller, which I was worried about but it works amazing. I use homebridge rather than home assistant. What do you think makes more sense: writing a home bridge plugin specifically for upsy-desky or augment https://github.com/lucavb/homebridge-esphome-ts to support button/numbers?
