Search by description?

It would be nice if you could search not only by methods/classes/types, but also by their description, if they have any.

Hmm, yeah, this could be useful. The problem is that descriptions are not loaded until you actually go to the page. So every single documentation snippet would have to be loaded at the start.

Or we could use Algolia's open source offering and load the docs into there.

I think the second option is the best.
