I had the same problem. It was due to the channel being set to two channels. Also see the developers reaction on twitter https://twitter.com/leonspok/status/1029702537639804929. Does this fix your problem?

If you add a feature for iOS Shortcuts app to fetch data in de the app, that shortcut can be triggered via automations in the Home app.

Also note that Gitlab has made a nice dropdown input field with bootstrap-vue. It may be used as inspiration.
