Creating a MELPA package.
Hello!
Thanks for your work!
Have you considered submitting your wonderful package for submission to MELPA (or even GNU ELPA, since there are unlikely to be many new versions)?
Would be great!
Hallo sorry for the late reply, actually outline-magic is the work of Carsten Dominik, the creator of Org-mode, and I just took over maintaince quite some years ago, and I'm not doing a good job anyway since I don't use outline-magic, I use outshine if I want a kind of org-minor-mode in Emacs programming modes. And I had a look, comparing outline-magic with the outline.el in my current Emacs (up-to-date Archlinux version). ALL functions from outline-magic seems to be included in standard outline too, except the outline-cycle function, and AFAIK one can actually use org-cycle globally for that. So is there really a need nowadays to still use outline-magic and maintain it?
I would be very happy, if somebody who uses it and thinks so (maybe with some elisp skills) would volunteer and take over maintainership for that library.
Cheers
Well, the only difference really is the sane keybindings.
Typing C-c @ C-t is way too inconvenient, and actually, outline-magic.el is recommended on Emacs Wiki for exactly this reason.
Maybe indeed I'd better use org-cycle.
