After doing more tests, killing the process `/var/www/invidious/invidious -o invidious.log` brings back the instance for a while. Should I try and change the log mode in config?...

You guys can try their backup option. It solves those issues. It is a one way sync. Works for me now.

How to have it enabled on boot then? It seems it is always disabled for me on boot. Is this normal? CHeers
