Enter key does not move cursor when starting new <p> in Android Chrome/Brave

Open lingdocs opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

When using Chrome or Brave on Android with the Enter key does not work properly. If I am typing at the end of a document and I want to press Enter to start a new paragraph, it looks like nothing happens. A new paragraph is created below the cursor, but I have to click/press below the last paragraph to manually move the cursor to move to the desired paragraph.

See the video, the behaviour is not completely consistent, rarely the cursor will move down automatically, but most of the time I need to move it manually. (I'm using the latest tinymce-react 1.13.1)

enter-error

It does sort of work in Firefox but you have to press the Enter key twice. One press creates a space at the end of the line and another Enter key moves the cursor down to a new paragraph.

This issue can't be solved in the tinymce-react integration so I am transferring this to the tinymce repository.
